Dr. Vann is a Fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon with more than 22 years of clinical practice experience. He attended Harvard University, where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Biochemical Sciences. He attended a dual graduate program at the University of Miami School of Medicine where he obtained both an M.D. degree and Ph.D. degree in Microbiology & immunology specializing in Virology. He completed his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in the Cleveland Medical Center and earned his Fellowship at Retina and Vitreous of Texas in Houston. He is an accomplished author with extensive experience in clinical retinal research. He continues to lecture nationally at major medical meetings, university settings and local public facilities. Dr. Vann is a Diplomate of American Board of Ophthalmology and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, American Society of Retinal Specialists and the Texas Medical Association
