Dr. Almanza received her Bachelor’s of Science degree at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She majored in Biology and earned double minors in Chemistry and Psychology. She received her Doctor of Optometry Degree from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. Dr. Almanza is the recipient of multiple awards and has experience in Low Vision Clinic research. She completed her residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation at the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Almanza is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and the Rio Grande Valley Optometric Society.
