All About Cataracts
-  Signs and Symptoms

A cataract starts out small, and at first may go undetected as it may have little noticeable effect on your vision. It may seem that your vision is blurred a little, like looking through a cloudy piece of glass or viewing an impressionist painting. A cataract may make direct light from either the sun or a lamp seem too bright or glaring. Or you may even notice that when you drive at night the oncoming traffic headlights cause more glare than before.  You may also notice that colors do not appear as bright as they once did.
